Children & Youth Counselling
When children or teenagers face tough times they often need a helping hand to guide them through. Counselling provides a safe space where children can talk openly and be heard without judgment or fear. It’s a positive step that can lead to them feeling better and finding solutions that work for each childs situation and needs. Over the past decade, I’ve had the joy of working as a College Counsellor and a School Chaplain, forming meaningful connections with children, families, and staff.

-
The pain cuts deep, leaving you feeling emotionally drained, spiritually shattered, and physically exhausted. Each day feels like a battle against overwhelming sadness, as you grapple with the void left behind by their absence.
It's not just about losing a loved one; grief can also stem from the end of a marriage, the loss of a job, or even a major life change like moving to a new city. The weight of these losses can feel crushing, leaving you feeling lost and uncertain about the future. You may find yourself struggling to come to terms with the reality of your loss, replaying memories in your mind and yearning for things to go back to how they once were.
In the midst of this pain, seeking support can feel like a beacon of hope in the darkness. Counselling offers a safe haven where you can pour out your heart, express your deepest emotions, and find comfort in knowing that you're not alone. Through gentle guidance and compassionate listening, I can help you navigate the complex emotions of grief, find healthy ways to cope, and ultimately, find a sense of acceptance and peace amidst the turmoil. To a Parent of a Teen: Raising a teen isn't easy at times, right? As a counsellor who's worked with adolescents for years, I've seen it all. From the everyday stuff like stress and peer pressure to more serious issues like depression or substance abuse, teens face a lot. But here's what I've learned: when they feel heard and supported, they're more likely to open up and seek help. That's where I come in. With a caring, non-judgmental approach, I create a safe space for teens to express themselves and work through their challenges. So, if your teen ever needs someone to talk to, know that I'm here to help.
To a Parent of a Primary School aged Child: With over a decade of experience as a School Counsellor and Chaplain, I've witnessed firsthand how counselling can profoundly benefit primary-aged children. It offers them a safe place to express themselves, tackle their challenges, and build resilience. Through counselling, children learn coping strategies, enhance their self-esteem, and develop crucial life skills like communication and emotional management. This support fosters their emotional growth and well-being, guiding them through the ups and downs of childhood with confidence and understanding.
Christian Counselling
As a Christian, how can a Christian counsellor help you navigate your struggles and strengthen your faith?
Counsellors and Psychotherapists today are really concerned with trying to understand the human condition, how to foster better relationships and alleviate human suffering. Far too many are in mental, emotional, relational and spiritual pain.

A Christian counselling approach invites individuals to connect with their Christian faith as they navigate life’s challenges, helping them find hope and meaning through biblical truths. The goal is to create a safe and supportive space for those facing mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and past traumas, allowing them to share their thoughts and feelings openly. This compassionate support nurtures healing and wholeness, helping people feel understood and supported on their journey to recovery.
Christian counselling can be understood in three keyways: it is rooted in scripture, considers the whole person—spirit, soul, and body and utilizes a comprehensive and eclectic approach. Many people think of Christian counselling as simply incorporating prayer or a bible verse, but it goes much deeper than that.
In closing, as a Christian counsellor, I truly appreciate the role that faith plays in our lives. I am currently a Clinical member with the Christian Counsellors Association of Australia (CCAA) and trained in a Biblical Framework of Counselling.
Psalm 23:3 serves as a reminder of the privilege I have in supporting others on their healing journeys. Like a winding path that offers direction and hope, I aim to create a safe and welcoming space where you can share your beliefs and experiences without fear of judgment. Together, we can explore your journey towards healing and wholeness.
